The ICWA course, now known as Cost Management Accounting (CMA), opens up vast opportunities in financial management and equips aspirants with the skills needed to thrive in the dynamic corporate world. Conducted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), the CMA certification is highly valued for roles in cost accounting, financial strategy, and corporate governance. At Wisdom Academy, we provide the best CMA coaching in Mumbai, offering both classroom sessions and personalized home tuitions tailored to your needs. Our comprehensive coaching covers the entire CMA syllabus divided into three stages: Foundation, Intermediate, and Final.
The CMA Foundation course is the entry-level stage of the ICWA/CMA program and consists solely of theoretical exams. The syllabus includes 6 subjects distributed across 4 papers, each carrying 100 marks:
To clear the Foundation level, students must score at least 40% in each paper and achieve a minimum aggregate of 50% across all papers. If these criteria are not met, the student must reappear for all four papers.
The CMA Intermediate course includes both theoretical exams and mandatory practical training. The theory syllabus covers 8 subjects, divided into 2 groups with 4 papers each, all carrying 100 marks:
To pass the Intermediate level, students must secure at least 40% in each paper and a minimum aggregate of 50% in each group. If a student fails to meet these requirements, they must retake all papers in that group. When appearing for both groups together, each group is evaluated separately.
Students who successfully clear the CMA Intermediate examination can register for the CMA Final course. The CMA Final exams are conducted twice a year, in June and December. The course is divided into two groups — Group III and Group IV — each comprising four subjects, all carrying 100 marks each.
Note:
To pass the CMA Final exams, candidates must score a minimum of 40 marks in each paper and secure an aggregate of 50% in each group. Additionally, there is a mandatory Industry Oriented Training Program of 42 hours and a 3-year Practical Training requirement for all candidates.
Out of the total 3 years of practical training required for the CMA course, students must register for at least 1 year. Moreover, to be eligible for the CMA Final examination conducted in June and December, candidates must complete a minimum of 6 months of practical training before 31st March or 30th September, depending on the exam cycle. This practical training is a crucial part of the best CMA coaching in Mumbai curriculum and ensures students gain hands-on experience in cost management accounting. Whether appearing for both groups or the remaining group after qualifying the other, completing this practical training is mandatory for all CMA aspirants enrolled in the best institute for CMA in Mumbai.
