    • Register for the CA Intermediate Course after passing the Foundation Examination or after graduation/post-graduation with requisite marks (registration valid for 5 years, extendable by another 5 years through revalidation).
    • Registration for the Intermediate Course will also be treated as registration for the Business Accounting Associate (BAA)
    • Appear for the CA Intermediate Examination (6 papers – 2 groups) after completing the mandatory 8-month study period (passing marks: 40% in each paper and 50% in each group).
    • Pass both groups of the Intermediate Examination, complete the Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS), and begin the articleship training.
    • Register for the Final Course (registration valid for 10 years and revalidatable thereafter).
    • Articleship duration is 2 years, with the 2nd year eligible for industrial training (24 days of leave allowed over 2 years).
    • Complete the Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS), pass all required self-paced online modules, and complete the full articleship before appearing for the Final Examination.
    • Appear for the CA Final Examination (6 papers – 2 groups) after a 6-month period post-articleship (passing marks: 40% in each paper and 50% in each group). If unsuccessful, apply for the Business Accounting Associate
    • Candidates who receive an exemption in any paper must clear the remaining papers within the next 3 attempts. Further exemptions can be availed by securing 50% marks in each exempted paper.
    • After passing both groups of the CA Final Examination, apply for ICAI membership. To obtain a Certificate of Practice, one must complete 1 year of work experience under a fellow Chartered Accountant in practice.
