Eligibility for CS Executive Course

Executive Programme can be pursued by Graduates of all streams excluding Fine Arts and Candidates who have cleared the Foundation examination or are eligible for an exemption then and are not less than 17 years of age may look for registration as a student for the Executive Programme. Admission to the CS Course is open throughout the annum. Examinations are held twice a year i.e., in June & December.
The deadlines for Registration for any level of Company Secretary Exams are:
28th February for appearing in both groups in December Exams in the same year
31st May for appearing in a single group in December Examination in the same year
31st August for appearing in both groups in June Exam in the next year
30th November for appearing in a single group in June Examination in the next year
Direct Entrance into CS Executive Programme
CS Executive Exam Eligibility Criteria – In case you have passed the entrance exam of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMA) then you are eligible to take direct entry into the Executive Programme of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)
Hence, in addition to the students having graduation degrees like B.A. / B. Sc. / B. Com / Graduates of any discipline (discarding Fine Arts), any applicants who have cleared the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of ICAI or Foundation Examination of ICAI (erstwhile ICWAI) might now get direct enrollment in Executive Programme of ICSI. Earlier just CA/CMA final passed students were entitled to take direct registration in CS Executive Programme.
Further, the CS Institute has as well relaxed candidates who have passed the examination authorized by any other accountancy Institution in India or abroad recognized as allied CACPT by the Council of the ICSI and are exempted from clearing the Foundation Programme examination. Fee Structure for CS Course
The fee for Commerce students is INR 9000; the fee for CPT passed of ICAI / Foundation passed of ICAI-CMA is INR 12500;
The fee for non-commerce students is INR 10000
The fee for Foundation pass students is INR 8500
There is an additional examination fee of INR 1200 for each group.
CSEET (Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test)
Candidates who have qualified for the CSEET exam of ICSI can register for the CS Executive exam.
According to the eligibility criteria, candidates are required to qualify for the CSEET exam. The exemptions for this are cited below.
Exemptions for appearing in CSEET Exam-
Following candidates can as well register for CS Executive exam. Without appearing in the CS Foundation or CSEET exam
Candidates who have accomplished graduation/ post-graduation in any stream except fine arts
Candidates who have qualified CA Final examination/CMA Final examination or exam of any other Accountancy Institution in India or abroad are recognized as equivalent thereby the Council
Candidates who have a degree in Corporate Secretaryship /Commerce
Candidates must endure seven (7) days of the Student Induction Programme (SIP) within 6 months of CS Executive registration and before appearing in June/ December exam.
What after checking CS Executive eligibility criteria?
Post checking the eligibility criteria, candidates can proceed to fill out the CS Executive application form online mode. Candidates can sign up for the CS Executive exam directly from the official website of ICSI. The registration fee is INR 10,600 for candidates who are registering after qualifying CSEET exam and INR 15,600 for other candidates.
Once the registration period for a particular session is done, ICSI will release the CS Executive exam form. They must ensure to complete eight months before filling out the exam form. ICSI considers this period as the preparation time required for post-registration.
