The Company Secretary course is formed of three stages – foundation, executive and professional. Students of all backgrounds, except fine arts, can apply for the foundation course after completion of their higher secondary education. The main areas of study under this paper are business environment, forms of business organisations, scales of business, emerging trends in business and business functions. Business laws, entrepreneurship and the growth and challenges for entrepreneurial ventures are also taught as a part of this paper.
Business Management, Ethics and Communication
Some of the topics covered in this paper are nature of management and its processes, human resource management, planning, recent trends in management, ethics, business communication, administration, internal-departmental communication, etc.
The two main areas of study are economics and elementary statistics.
Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing
Students learn about theoretical framework, accounting process, partnership accounts, depreciation accounting, auditing, auditor’s reports, etc.

This paper includes topics such as share capital, debentures, corporate restructuring, liquidation of company, consolidation of accounts, accounting standards, auditing concepts, internal control, audit engagement and documentation, etc.
